Bolero caused a sensation at the 2008 North American Alpaca Show - one of the largest shows in the country - when he was exhibited for the first time at nearly 12 years of age! Taking the blue under judge Mike Safely, over some of the toughest competition ever seen in the mature male class, Bolero was cheered to his win by an enthusiastic crowd of supporters, many of whom we had never met. Maple Brook Bolero is the son of one of the top males ever brought into the US - Peruvian Bueno. Bueno has become a living legend with too many Champion offspring and Get-of-Sire wins to count. Best of all, he brings incredible fineness, desireable high-frequency well defined crimp, and a silky 'hand' or feel to his offspring. Now at least 18 years of age, we are honored to own what we believe to be one of the very best sons of the incomparable Bueno. And we are delighted to share him with you.

Few breeders today remember that Bueno won the first ever alpaca Futurity held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1993. The show was judged by 'Don' Julio Barreda, the famous alpaca breeder from the Accoyo Estancia in Peru.
